Bush White House officials believe it is likely the President will host the U.S. Olympic team at the Executive Mansion before he leaves office. That potential list of Olympic attendees could include Michael Phelps. The Baltimore native has surpassed every gold medal record at age 24. Phelps recieved a call from the President after he surpassed Mark Spitz’s Olympic swimming record, of seven swimming gold medals. Spitz held for the honor for 32 years. President Bush, now termed Fan and Chief, was on hand for Phelps first Gold Medal contest at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
