The candidates vying for the Oval Office normally afford one another a political courtesy during each parties perspective Convention. That is not the case. John McCain is not letting up as he has closed in on Barack Obama’s lead in the polls. Now, McCain is working on the discontent within the Democratic Party.

In the Mile High City, Senator Hillary Clinton is expected to release her Convention delegates to Senator Obama. Yet, Democrats are worried about a Hillary supporter backlash. High ranking sources in the Obama campaign contend, Hillary Clinton “was considered but was not in the mix as a finalist.” Some protests, by Clinton Supporters are expected in Denver. Maryland Senator, Nathaniel McFadden gave his thoughts on his way to the Democratic Convention Sunday. He believes they need to put the nation first and said the Clinton supporters need to “get over it!.”

hould Hillary and Bill Clinton work to unify the party? Was the Obama Campaign wrong in not picking Senator Clinton as his running mate? Should the Hillary supporters even voice their concern at the convention?


The masses are converging on Denver,all with different and various issues. Civil Rights pioneer Dorothy Height was spotted at the Denver Airport saying, “For me the major agenda item is the economy, because many of us have achieved a lot through civil rights. But economically, we are in a bad position.”

The Hispanic delegation from Puerto Rico is pushing for equity in pay and health care. They say they are not given the same salaries as other races and cultures. The Hispanic leadership also wants the Democratic Party to understand, Hispanics are not just from Mexico, and solutions must be as diverse as they are.

Susan Taylor, former Essence Magazine Editor and Chief Emeritus says education and the economy tops her action agenda.
