CNN’S Susan Malveaux on the convention floor getting the story to viewers around the world.

The working press is covering stories all over Denver. Some media press room areas are appointed and comfortable. In most cases, it is very basic and cramped workspace.

What do you think of the news coverage from all the media outlets of the convention?

Senator Hillary Clinton is a supporter of Barack Obama.  The Senator from New york made those statements during her speech at the Democratic National Convention. Did it quell the unity concerns of the Democratic Party.  Congressman Charles Wrangle contends, “at the end of the day, we are going to be together.”    In defining the “end of the day,”  Wrangle said, “it is when people feel it is the end of the day.”   Wrangle a Hillary supporter also said, “If we have to vent before we come together, leave us alone and let us do it our way.” Was Hillary Clinton convincing enough to unite the party before November 4, 2008?   How would you rate her speech?

No matter how it turns out on November 4, 2008, history is being made. American has it’s first viable African American Democratic Presidential Nominee. Armed with those facts, Sir Charles is in Denver celebrating before Barack Obama has formally accepted the nomination. For Charles Barkley it is personal.

Civil Rights leaders are also in Denver understanding history is being made. The head of the National Urban League, Mark Moriel and incoming NAACP head, Ben Jealous are observing the activities.

Ben Jealous, incoming head of the NAACP contends, no matter the race there will be accountability.

New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson believes the upcoming historic election sends a message to the world.

Is race, the pink elephant in this election? Should it matter the race, religion or gender of a Presidential candidate?

They are coming to Denver with issues in hand. Actor and new Orleans resident Wendell Pierce is asking the federal government to police the money that was given to the state of Louisiana, for Katrina survivors. Pierce is hoping for a Barrack Obama presidency, believing help will be on the way for the Big Easy. The three year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina is Friday. What should the government do to help the city now, years after the fact?
