White House speech writers will soon be putting pen to paper to write President Obama’s address to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored people in mid July. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs did not give a concrete yes but says, he “assumes strongly, that he’ll [President Obama] go” to the NAACP’s 100th anniversary celebration. Gibbs went on to say, “He [Obama] looks forward to honoring their historic commitment.” The centennial celebration is slated for July 11th through the 16th. Seven thousand of the organizations delegates are expected to attend. According to sources, the White House, the NAACP and the city of New York are trying to determine where Mr. Obama will address the crowd. The White House is said to have shot down Mayor Bloomberg’s offer for Yankee Stadium. The concern by the Obama administration, a Yankee stadium massive audience fosters the ideas of Obama arrogance and a rock star status. Under consideration now a 9 thousand seat armory in Harlem, New York.
