This week, a relaxed meeting with President Obama, Sgt. Jim Crowley and Henry Gates is being planned over beer at the White House. Robert Gibbs, White House Press Secretary fielded questions on the meeting and overtones of racial profiling resulting from the incident. The 9-11 tapes of the original police call, show the concerned citizen did not mention the race of the suspicious persons allegedly breaking into Henry Gates home. Gates, along with his driver, were trying to gain entry into his house as he door was jammed.
Overtones of Racial Profiling persist and calls for the federal government to step in to help. In few weeks, black ministers from around the country will hold a day of action and prayer on the issue of racial profiling.
