Readout of the President’s Lunch with Governor Romney

This afternoon, President Obama and Governor Romney visited for an hour over lunch in the Private Dining Room adjacent to the Oval Office.  Governor Romney congratulated the President for the success of his campaign and wished him well over the coming four years. The focus of their discussion was on America’s leadership in the world and the importance of maintaining that leadership position in the future.  They pledged to stay in touch, particularly if opportunities to work together on shared interests arise in the future.  Their lunch menu included white turkey chili and Southwestern grilled chicken salad.

  1. James C. Morant says:

What would Romney know about “America’s leadership in the world”? Oh, yes. It would probably make it easier for him to visit his money. Let’s make sure to strengthen ties with Cayman Islands, Luxembourg, Australia, Germany, Ireland, Bermuda and Switzerland. Romney is still heartless, and more importantly, clueless. His post election remarks make it clear to me that he is still the same vacuous, shallow, and “entitled” patrician that he has always been. He will probably issue some deluded satatement over the next days which confirm his utter contempt for the President and the Administration’s programs. That’s what Romney DOES. Not interested in his opinion on ANYTHING, except maybe car elevators. When will the press lose its fascination with such an arrogantly ignorant, manifestly unqualified, and cruel man???
