African American’s Own Fiscal Cliff

“African Americans are at risk of falling off their own ‘fiscal cliff’ is employment disparities are not addressed”, that according to Robert L. Johnson, chairman of The RLJ Companies and founder of Black Entertainment Television.  The longtime business has a plan he says will increase opportunities for Blacks but needs corporate America to sign on.  AURN’s Kim Lampkins has a report.

  1. This is the problem with the message of HOPE that President Obama ran on. It convinces black folks to believe in something, no real specifics, and in the end that HOPE goes unfulfilled. It didn’t solve any problems and only leads to a dejected people. If the first and only black President couldn’t bring about positive results across the board for blacks then nobody can nor will. HOPE is a deadly weapon in the hands of a manipulator. It sounds wonderful and gets everybody excited but produces nothing. Black folks have got to wake up and start thinking rationally.
