The White House has sent Congressional Offices an urgent memo saying all tours at the White House are cancelled until further notice because of sequestration. Tours are normally scheduled through your Congressional leader’s office. There will be no more tours starting March 9th because of staffing constraints due to sequestration.
On a related note, the annual White House Easter Egg Roll is still a go. But, a Congressional office says the White House has informed them, they will make a final determination on the Easter Egg Roll closer to the event. Meanwhile, a White House source says there are no changes right now for the annual event. So for, it is slated to take place on the White House South Lawn. The White House Easter Egg Roll has been a tradition at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. for 135 years.
