  1. This is like making champagne toasts on the Titanic when you’re already knee-deep in water.

    • Wrong!!!! Sorry!!

    • Yep, bringing insurance to millions is exactly the same as dying from a ship wreck. Powerful analogy, my friend!

      • Dr. Know says:

At a ten year cost of $2 trillion dollars that comes out to $285,000 per insured or $28,500 annually. Who hoo! More champagne!

        • SimonSaysVoteAgain says:

Yeah.. that math is super solid… if you skip past all of the Medicaid enrollees (as of today it’s 6.5 million newly insured out of some 10.4 million enrollees), and presume that the other 19 million in both private exchange and Medicaid enrollees that will occur over the next 3 years don’t exist.

        • RUkiddingme? says:

We can burn though cash on unnecessary wars, and twenty-six billion dollar temper tantrums ; what’s the harm in a trillion or two?

        • Nope, actually. Wrong again. Then again, I see how you could be against something that you completely do not understand. it’s easy to take strong opinions when you’re completely misinformed, it’s just not usually smart. Sadly, it is how the Republican party butters it’s bread, and baby, you’re the spread. :D

        • FunWithMath says:

that’s assuming that the number STAYS at 7M which it will not, and which has already been exceeded. you’re also willfully neglecting the people added to the Medicaid rolls…perhaps a name change is in order

    • What exactly is “going down” like the Titanic? The law that’s outperforming expectations? The millions of people who are now able to get healthcare without going bankrupt?

It looks like the ones going down in the long term are the Tea Partiers, Republicans and their plutocratic backers. Good riddance to bad rubbish, as they say. You won’t be missed.
